Make better decisions
about your technology.

Bullfrey gives founders and CEOs an independent second opinion when technology spending, delivery or a proposed change needs closer scrutiny.

Decide what comes next.

Clarity before commitment.When it helps

01 / When it helps

Before you commit more money, people or time.

You do not need to know the underlying cause. You need a question worth resolving.

02 / The review

Technology
Decision Review

Start with the decision facing the business.

Agree what needs examining and what evidence will help. Work through it with your technology team to understand the options, the trade-offs and what to do next.

  1. 01

    Define the question

Agree the decision, the context and what needs a closer look.

  2. 02

    Examine the evidence

Review the relevant plans, systems, costs, delivery record and capabilities with your team.

  3. 03

    Discuss the recommendation

A written assessment and a discussion with management about the way forward.

The scope follows the question. Security, resilience, supplier dependencies, data and AI are considered where they affect the decision.

03 / What you receive

A recommendation you can examine and act on.

  • What the evidence shows—and what remains uncertain.
  • The options and their implications for cost, delivery and risk.
  • A recommendation, with the reasoning behind it.
  • The next steps and any further work needed before committing.

Your team brings the context. Bullfrey brings an independent assessment. Management owns the decision and delivery.

Richard Grant

Founder, Bullfrey

Richard has spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of technology, business strategy and investment.

His career spans technical and commercial roles, technology consulting, business leadership and major transformation programmes. He has advised executives on technology strategy and investment, developed and governed technology roadmaps, and led complex international programmes.

He spent six years as a partner in a specialist technology consultancy. His work has ranged from growing technology businesses to some of the world’s largest industrial companies.

In recent years, Richard has specialised in technology due diligence, assessing dozens of companies for private equity investors, management teams and shareholders. His assessments cover technology strategy, product and engineering, architecture, leadership, infrastructure, cybersecurity and operational capability.

Richard’s assessment work has highlighted a recurring pattern: technology decisions that have not kept pace with growth, risks that have accumulated quietly, and capabilities that need strengthening. Management teams often recognise that understanding these issues earlier would have helped them make better decisions.

Bullfrey focuses on the decisions management faces now: understand what matters, explain it clearly in business terms, and concentrate on the few things that can make the greatest difference.
